With Avengers: Infinity War set for release next summer, and the currently untitled Avengers 4 now in production, Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to over the next couple of years. Although we’re yet to see a first trailer for Infinity War, Vanity Fair has given us a look at some character images from the movie.
They come via four different covers, with all the main heroes featured, from Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) to Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson), as well as Starlord (Chris Pratt), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). Check the covers out in the gallery below:
In addition, Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have also hinted that we might see the first trailer very soon. They took to Instagram to post a single image of a happy cartoon number 3. Of course, whether this means a trailer in three days, on December 3, or something else entirely, remains to be seen.
Vanity Fair also includes an interview with Marvel boss Kevin Feige, who spoke about what fans can expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers 4. It is expected that many of the franchise’s veteran stars, including Evans, Downey Jr., and Thor star Chris Hemsworth, may not return for further movies. However, Feige is confident about the MCU’s future.
“There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting,” he said. “We’re 22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before–intentionally.”
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018, with Avengers 4 following on May 3, 2019.
